Suriya-starrer Soorarai Pottru gets a Hindi remake, which will be directed by Sudha Kongara who directed the original film in Tamil.
Abundantia Entertainment, led by Vikram Malhotra, and 2D Entertainment led by Suriya, Jyothika Sadanah and Rajsekar Pandian will team up on the Hindi-language film, the directors said on Monday.
“Soorarai Pottru (Praise the Brave)” is the story of Nedumaaran Rajangam or “Maara”, played by Suriya, who sets out to make the common man fly and in the process attacks the most capital-intensive industry in the world. world with the help of her family, friends and sheer willpower.
The film, which was released direct on Amazon Prime Video in November 2020, was in part inspired by events in the life of Air Deccan founder Capt GR Gopinath.
Suriya said he looks forward to the Hindi adaptation of Soorarai Pottru.

Kongara, who is currently working on the screenplay for the next film with a group of writers, said she hopes the official Hindi remake will also receive the same love as the original.
